Default Project: F150 truggy

Hello all,

This will be my second project and im looking to do something a little different. I had a pretty beat up f150 body and so i decided to use that. The chassis is the same as my Titan Crawler cause it is the only one thats working . So ill quit talking and get on with the pictures

Thanks. The rollbar is just a mockup as the final rear cage will be brazed. Im look forward to this project as i havent seen anyone do something like this. Also i have a question: Does anyone know where to get 1/24 scale offroad accesories?

Regards,
David

some kind of orage-grey two tone would look nice as a truggy.
don't forget, truggy = buggy + truck, so you'll have to do stance-widening mods as well as increase the travel about 2-3 times the stock amount of travel or more, because that's the point of a truggy: off road bump and jump domination

it's not the first one on here but it deffinately looks like a good start.
i can't remember off the top of my head who it was but one member made a full on exo-cage for his.

i partially side with floydfan about the paint.
do both.
i wouldn't take a dremel to it but there's no reason that you couldnt give it a decent single or two tone paintjob, find some waterslide decals and proceed to bash it up just like you would with a 1:1.

if you spray a basecoat of silver before whatever color you decide to paint it then when it scratches it will look even more realistic providing that the scratches don't go through to plastic.

if you ask the right people, there's all kinds of waterslides to be had and they'de probably be pretty cheap.

You mean xmodification? And I started one, but never finished. I'm starting to kinda get back into xmods. And I say do a nice paintjob. Cuz after you run it like it should be run, it will have that beat up look. Looks great so far. Keep up the good work and this should be great!
