if you are running stock electronics then there is nothing wrong with the rs stage2 motors,
you dont waht to "hot" of a motor or you will just kill your xmod PCB run the stage2 for a wile and when you are used to it then buy a BB motor can , this will let the motor run faster with less friction plus getting a stage2 motor upgrade give you all the gearing options

True dat. Bearings first. After that however, I have been running a Atomic Standard in my GT-R since it came out and its amazing, towers of power. But then there is the Atomic Stock Ball Bearing, which, if you look at motor stats, Atomic standard is faster, but Atomic Stock BB has more torque.

Get the bearings. They really help. That's what I did and I am pretty happy with the car. Bearings, stage two motor and all wheel drive. Makes for a pretty good car and you can actually see some improvement with these upgrades. I bought all my upgrades on e-bay. Saved a lot of money that way. Now I think I am gonna go for the fet upgrade and a better grade motor with ball bearings. Probably put some aluminum parts up front for a little better steering as well. Man this stuff is addicting. Good luck with your new car and take it a little at a time. You will have it upgraded before you know it.

The best mods to start out with are the RS ones. . . (especially if your new to xmods and not sure bout after market upgrades)
The bearings is probably the best upgrade to start with I think the stage 2 motor upgrade and AWD upgrade go hand in hand. I'd only recommend the stage 2 motor when you go with the AWD as well. If you feel yourself being swayed into the darkside and into other mods, you may then want to look into some aftermarket upgrades like lithiums, aftermarket motor upgrades (which may require things like a electronics upgrade like FETTS) and so on. Just recommend doing some research before going into such aftermarket upgrades.
