Default Man vs. Sports Car

Not sure if this is new or old but I was watching something on NatGeo last night when a clip popped up of some strong guy hold on to a Mustang, I spent a bit of time finding more information and came across this:

http://channel.nationalgeographic.co...w#tab-Overview

The video itself:

http://channel.nationalgeographic.co...ideos/07496_00

The strongman is Austrian Franz Müllner.... apparently he has already done a similar challenge holding back a Lamborghini Diablo for 7 seconds which is a world record...

This car is supposedly a 605HP Shelby GT500 and if you haven't already seen it I will let you watch it to see if he beats his existing record.

Pretty crazy stuff though.... that car has a buttload of torque.... so to hold on to it for any period of time is amazing!

Bet you any money they are high top Chuck Taylor Converse

But on a more serious note if you read the NatGeo article it's all to do with his muscle groups being in balance... wish I was that strong

Yeah, if you watch the whole episode, they debunk what he claims to do. If I remember correctly they even destroyed the transmission in the first Mustang from spinning the rear tires while keeping the brakes locked in front. Hence the video starts 'so we brought in a second car' Then they measured the actual stress put on his body by the car. While he is ****ed strong to hold it at all, most of the initial 6-10 seconds of power is lost through tire burn out, which they designed that special brake system to maximize.

Despite it all being reaaaaaally rigged, that's still mighty impressive. How many people can essentially pull 700 lbs?

Of course, if the driver just slowly let the clutch out... He'd just drag the guy around

If he can do that, he can certainly hold back a Prius. Maybe he should go around and stop the runaway madness!

The only Priuses that are in the whole acceleration are people who pretend that they can't stop them.
