just MY cars....down to 2 right now:

1992 subaru loyale......1987 Toyota 4Runner

at my parents' house, 1985 Nissan 300ZX, 1994 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon, 2001 Subaru Legacy L Sedan, 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan (I'm ashamed to admit.....160k miles, bought it with 80k and just while we've had it it's had 3 trannies, numerous MAP sensors, 2 front main seals, one rear, both front axles, rear brakes, shocks/struts....ugh)

for one week last year, we had 7 subarus in our posession (for the 3 of us...and still had the nissan and dodge). Both my lifted '88 GL wagons, what was left of my '85 GL wagon(weighed 400lbs when we took it to the crusher at the end of that week), the '92 loyale, the '92 legacy (engine donor for the loyale), '94 legacy, and '01 legacy.

AND, until last summer, we had a 1964 Ford F100 pickup that my dad used to plow the driveway. total POS, rusted in half, no brakes, only started about half the time (and only if you had the charger and block heater on it for at least 10 hours before hand), 3 flat tires, all 4 wheels rusted to the hubs.....

3 people, 10 cars, 3 car garage.....

actually I'm going turbo. From what I've researched and talked to tuners around houston it's better to go turbo with a smaller engine (like the B-16) plus my gf's uncle can get me all my turbo stuff at wholesale prices. Next summer I'll post pics when its all turboed....maybe a vid

Small engine or not, talk to cowboySiR on xmw, and he can tell you his story of how he kept up, then passed up with a Cayenne with his supercharged SiR civic. Kept pace with the thing going uphill

That, and how are you gonna have some lowend torque? Cant do that with a large turbo, and still have lots of top-end. Unless you have twin turbo (one small, on large) or variable geometry turbos... expensive!

Or check out vortec centrifugal superchargers.

Or turbo like every other honda box..

Or stick a Nelson Racing engine into it, and make over 2000 hp V8 power

Garret GT35R is what I'm getting with a precision intercooler, tial bov and wastegate. I'm getting it tuned by jason at St00pidfast; the best Honda tuner in houston hands down. He's tuned civic hatches to about 450 fwhp that have bone stock bottom ends that keep up with Porsche GT2's. For low end torque it just depends on how you tune...twin turbo on a civic with the one big one large crap is a waste of money to be honest. I don't know any reputable tuners that would even think about reccomending it. You can usually get better performance gains going with a slightly bigger single turbo and a nice tune.

I like the sound and overall feel of turbo though...the vortec supercharger was my choice a while back but after talking to about a dozen people who had them that hated them and went back to turbo I decided against it.

I can get a turbo or a lot cheaper than a supercharger, and since for me it wont be worth going above 400whp because of traction issues a good size turbo will be just enough. I'll have a nice *** power curve too...I've ridden in a civic si just like mine with a set-up like I want and it was amazing. Plus with turbo my gf's uncle can custom fab me a manifold

umm.. no. Let's compare. Infact, I'll use the 2007 model with 450 HP and TQ.
Civic:
Engine
Type: Inline-4
Displacement cu in (cc): 122 (1998)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 197(147) / 7800
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 139(188) / 6200
Redline at RPM: 8000
Brakes & Tires
Brakes F/R: ABS, vented disc/disc
Tires F-R: 215/45 R17
Driveline: Front Wheel Drive
Exterior Dimensions & Weight
Length × Width × Height in: 174.8 × 68.9 × 53.5
Weight lb (kg): 2877 (1306)
Performance
Acceleration 0-62 mph s: n.a.
Top Speed mph (km/h): n.a.
Fuel Economy EPA city/highway mpg (l/100 km): 22/31 (n.a.)

2007 Porsche 911 GT3:
Engine
Type: Flat-6
Displacement cu in (cc): 220 (3598)
Power bhp (kW) at RPM: 415(310) / 7600
Torque lb-ft (Nm) at RPM: 300(407) / 5500
Redline at RPM: 8400
Brakes & Tires
Brakes F/R: ABS, vented disc/vented disc
Tires F-R: 235/35 ZR19 - 305/30 ZR19
Driveline: Rear Wheel Drive
Exterior Dimensions & Weight
Length × Width × Height in: 176 × 71 × 50
Weight lb (kg): 3075 (1395)
Performance
Acceleration 0-60 mph s: 4.1
Top Speed mph (km/h): 193 (310)
Fuel Economy EPA city/highway mpg (l/100 km): 17/24 (n.a.)

So, The civic has more HP and TQ, +2 for the civic:
911: 0
Civic: 2

The 911 is rear wheel drive (+2 alone) and rear engined:
911: 3
Civic: 2
The 911 has better suspension, brakes, transmission, and aerodynamics.
911: 7
Civic: 2

Yes, I am a complete car guy and i know my stuff. Yes, what you said is a load of BS

Theres a few auto makers that use a small twin-turbo set up, that utilizes a small and larger turbo.

And you show me proof of the Civic that will keep pace with a GT3.

I saw the GT2 beat it out, every time... except that last one where it started late. And even at that, how much of that civic is missing to lose wieght, and that lil Civic wont keep pace on a track. But I give it props for holding its own though.
