They have a ford plant and a GM plant here and some others here in Atlanta, but I also heard they are closing them down and moving them to Japan because of cheaper labor.

Overall - i'm not really a Ford - i've had one too many bad experiences and problems with them but recently I have to say that I come to like one of their models - the Freestyle. Anyways, I own a dodge vehicle - never had any serious problems yet (X - cross my fingers ) but with every vehicle - reliability stands with you on how good you threat your vehicle! It doesn't matter what you drive - it will always have some problem if ya don't take care of it. It's just a Brand - personnally - I go for style/comfort/accomodations/accessories/ and a couple other things that I look for in a vehicle. As long as it's gonna get me from A to B and back without any problems - I can't complain - if it doesn't - i'll just fix it or get something else

my dad has a 1996 Ford F150 and my mom has a 2000 ford excursion
f150= like 7.0 liter (i think) V8
Excursion= 6.8 triton V10
they both haul tons of a$$ and they both have only needed oil changes (the excursion needed new brake pads cuz my mom accelerates and brakes like crazy)
there great trucks idk wut u guys are talkin about. like someone said earlier, its not the car, its how you drive it and take care of it, the only problem ford has is they need more appealing sedans than the focus and taraus and make a ranger with a small block V8

i dont think your dads F-150 has a 7.0 L V8 i think the bigest engine you could get in a 1996 F-150 is a 5.8 L

it all depends on what your looking for from expierence chevys are sort of heavy and get poor gas milage if your going for trucks i like them overall though chevy makes a great engine thats why their so well known dodge has a great line of performance cars from classics to modern they had the charger then and hav the srt4 now and their trucks are great for certain things but with the majority of dodges i wouldn't tow anything then you get into fords which i prefer for myself people always talk about fords catching fire and thats because of their choice to use cheap rubber fuel lines but 50 bucks will give you steel braided lines and hav that problem solved people also bring up the explorers rolling and that was because of improper tire inflation because most shops don't inflate tires the right psi but when you get into cars i would go dodge or chevy if i absolutely had to get a domestic (i'd prefer a nissan) this is mainly because ive never seen a ford car outrun or outlast a chevy or dodge and i hate how overidalized the mustang is

DUDE WHATS WITH THE SMACK TALK, first of all do you even know where each of these "non domestic" parts are made? Do you know why?. Also Why does everyone else say that "this company sucks", or "this ones better". I mean Ford and Chevy deisels are having problems, the Cummions in the Dodge is seeming more practical mind you "corect me if im wrong" but dodge is the one gettin the best gas mileage. Cars? well that depends what your looking for. And for the one saying ford sucks in the power division? lets see. well lets see, the s197 cobra is pushing close to 500 horse. the fastest "production" car (in north america and maybe the world) is running a Ford motor, along with many other ford parts. And yes I LOVE FORD, but i dont hate Chevys or Dodges. dude were all in this Hobby for a reason, WE LOVE CARS. Different cars made for different reasons, Now stop this hateing dont be prejudice. Its like saying i hate jimmie bob joe causesomeone else said he smells funny.

^^^^^^^^ to this guy: just cause you probably tried racing a focus on your schwinn and lost, doesnt mean you have to smack talk.

Now that i finish READING ALL the posts, way too many of you are talking smack about ford and are screwing yourselves over, you think haveing the internet youd look up what your talking about before you say it instead of looking like an idiot.
