Broken Propulse = RC18MT
SO my propulse broke, again, and the 4 dollar part will be here tomorrow, being a person of very little patience, I could not possibly wait that long, so I bought a RC18MT and put all of the goodies from the hopped up Propulse on it. Carbon fiber driveshaft, aluminum threaded shocks, aluminum arms and knuckles, brushless motor (I'm not real hip on brushless terminology, but I think its a 1.21 jiggawatt), steel rear diff, aluminum dogbones in the rear. I took the MT gears out and put the standard rc18 gears in as I dont think I am going to like the MT tires and will probably put buggy tires on it. Heres a few pics. (BTW the whole night was wasted doing this transformation and the part I needed for the propulse would have been here by the time I got home tomorrow, makes absolutely no sense at this point why I did this).

Lol your crazy man... totally crazy... but I'm glad you got it up and running... hopefully those parts will be with you tomorrow and you can get whats left of the chassis moving again.

that's funny, you put all those propulse parts on an associated, I kind of did the same in reverse.
I picked up a couple of propulses from the megatech websight for $30 a piece. I gave one of them to my son and the other I put all my spare associated rc18t parts on it. I have an ezrun 25amp esc in it now and a mamba 5800kv, but I'm picking up a 7800kv ezrun motor for it and putting a 1/12 pan car body on it. I want to see how fast I can get a propulse to go. I'll be picking up a 3s lipo as well, but for now I have a 2s to use.

Not really alot of propulse parts went on, just the arms and such, half of the upgrades that were on the PP were made for the rc18 anyways and retrofitted to the PP. As far as my statement about the gearing, i may change my mind, i couldnt take it outside because it's raining but in the house it still had amazing acceleration, i guess theres more to be said for brushless than I thought. Stopping is an issue now, but ill chalk that up to the bigger tires.
