Default Ford Focus Project (evo chassis)

This is my first project in a long time. I was walking around dollar tree and found a pull back car with this body on it and it looked like the perfect size for an Xmod. Here is the body just sittin on top of a xmod evo chassis and next to the supra body (to show the size of the focus body). I am currently prepping for paint, although i dont know what color yet, most likely a monster energy rally car look.

Heh, I have one of those Focus bodies floating around somewhere too. Once you shave down the excess plastic and paint in some of the details, it doesn't look half bad. As a tip I would suggest painting the headlights but it's up to you. Let's see it painted

Its ready for paint, gonna lay down a grey primer, then hit it with a flat black and some bright green or maybe white graphics. Here is some update pics.

Also i mounted the body onto a first gen chassis using the classic velcro method

Well first off post a new thread by simply clicking the new thread button up in the upper left of the forums page...but please, please search before you post threads with questions in them, now to answer your second question... you should look harder, but this is a great site for model car bodies, you want the 1/24-1/28 scale bodies http://www.plastic-models.com/

Now back on track... It looks really nice so far, Do you plan to raise it up or leave it at that ride height?

thats the great part of using velcro to mount the car you can adjuct the ride height in like ten seconds. it sits on the rear a little lower than it does on the front...... and i used three different grits of sandpaper to make sure it was as smooth as possible.

im workin on the little body lines where the paint is still on there, kinda hard to do on these lil gys, thats why i prefer to use a model car body that has no color on it, just light sanding and then you get to paint! and thanks for the compliment!
