Default Block Tribute

So i got this subaru body for free from a member on here.. it was in ruff ruff shape. biggest thing i was worried about fixing was the fenders and making them look nice. So sitting pondering on how i was going to fix it up i noticed i had a evo body kit.. and thought hmmm it comes with a wide body kit and fenders.. that could make it for an easy fix.. so during mock up to see how well it worked i realised man looks a lot like the widebody kit on ken blocks gymkhana car.. So i figured why not, that will be my theme for this build...

so end product should turn out similar to this

Heres how the body sat as i recieved it.

mock up of the fenders.

Ill start actually working on it tomorrow evening.
But enjoy this for now night all.

Looks like you're off to a great start. Are you going to put the louvres in the spoiler and the camera on the roof?

yes on the spoiler, no on the camera. Ive already made 2 of these spoilers for my other subys, so thats the easy part. hard part is going to be making the body lines on the evo kit fit the subaru.

small update.

since its getting a wide body, thought i might as well make use of the extra room and run a wider stance. So i took the dremel to the stock body

Did a CRAP load of sanding on it, and hit it with a primer coat.

Pictures mounted on my rally chassis. even with the over sized and wider tires, they still dont fill the wells.

Tomorrow ill try to pick up some glazing puddy and start doing the body work. Then will come the paint!

Still need a stock STi hood!!! and a set of mirrors!!

Edit Sorry I take that back... I have a CF hood with stock scoop then a bunch of stock parts no mirrors or lenses sorry mate!

Wow! That really made it look perfect! Impreza-sive! Only fault I see is with the taillights, but since you still have some, it really doesn't matter. Great job!

its not even close to done. that was only the first layer of glaze. its not even close to perfect nor finished. the tail lights especially. It will get cleaned up as time goes on. gotta get another coat on here in a second.
