In america they are only the GTr but the same car in Japan is the SKyline GTR R35

Thats where you're all dangerously, and ignorantly, wrong. The GT-R is the GT-R EVERYWHERE in the world, even japan.

Now if you want to talk about what car is called a skyline in japan, then you'd have to go to Infiniti in the US, and re-badge all the G35's and G37's, those have been you're Nissan Skyline V35 and V36s, don't believe me go to Nissan's JP page:

Whats that I see in the listings? GT-R, Skyline Coupe, and oh look, Skyline Sedan... I wonder what those are....

On a side note, nice black GT-R, you should see about trying to remove the paint off the lenses. Try nail polish remover on q-tip and lightly rub it off. You'll want to remove them first of course.

I'd say grain alcohol over nail polish if the paint isn't enamel or tougher.

As far as naming goes, GT-R has R35 as its platform name, right?

I'm gonna look at that question as a legitimate one. Yes, the GT-R's Chasis code is R35, Nissan did this as a tribute to the old Skyline GT-Rs, but remember that "Skyline" was the name of the car, and GT-R was like saying Mopar, or TRD, etc. (Example: Dodge Neon SRT-4 was really a Neon, but the SRT-4 badge, meant mopar touched it)

A Skyline GT-R R30, 31, 32, 34, V35, and V36 were all with respect to the car called "Skyline". The GT-R gets its name from the Skyline's "GT-R" badge and thats it. It's a performance car, exactly what the badge is supposed to mean.

All of you keep it nice, I'm not a mod, but i really am tired of seeing these baby arguments about "nuh uh, i'm right because you're wrong, You're a "insert name calling here" for correcting me or saying i'm wrong". The people on here that dont know their place just make useless posts that eventually sickened me too.

Look how few people are logged into this place these days, people used to believe in this place (some still do, like the staff) and I was no different. Like I said before nice car, Do you plan on touching up spots in the paint like the silver lip around the front? Also, are the lenses off another GT-R or did you actually mod some to fit the car?

the headlights are from my other gt-r that was orange and black but that one burned to the ground so i parted out all of the good stuff and threw away all the melted crap and if ur asking y i changed the lenses was because when i was taking out the orig. to paint the car they cracked in 3 places
