Default Nissan Titan Crawler

Ok so heres what I got done so far...

Off road kit, custom body lift, custom shaved body kit, slammed rims with super swampers, locked diff, 8-25 gears with stage 2 motor, 4wd upgrade, aluminum wheel nuts, 10.5 mm axle upgrade, and gen 1 stiff springs...

I want just a little more power, so I was thinking of a lith-ion upgrade, but does anyone else have any suggestions as far as a cheap power upgrade?

I did FETS on my Gen 1 Camaro, but I really dont want to get that down and dirty with the Titan, just a little extra juice to help me climb some bigger rocks would help...

if your doing a crawler you don't want to use lithium. You need slot of torque, so gearing is what you need to work on. Lithe are more often used for speed. Get some good high may AAA batteries. (Orion makes some good tc grade AAA's)

I use liths for crawling and they get better reult than a 4cell AAA or a 6cell AAA. if u want torque lose the s2 and get a tamiya gearbox.they are cheap mine was like 9 buck at the hobby shop

you say you already have a body lift, but it needs more, that thing is way too low. its restricting your articulation in the rear a LOT even with the side skirts and rear bumper off. have you considered doing the articulation mod to get more out of it as well?

Thanks for the ideas so far...

Ive already cut off quite a bit of plastic in the rear, I may try cutting more, but it articulates fully (as much as possible without the articulation mod) without hitting the body (it comes VERY close) and I still want it to look good, I dont want it to look hacked. But articulaton isnt my problem so far, its torque, its clearing the rocks I want it to, it just doesnt seem like it has the umph it needs to get up some of the bigger slopes while trying to turn those monster tires, and ive heard that lith-ion would definatly help...but then again they are some steep slopes...

On second thought I might try to find a way to raise the body more, or Ill just lose the bed all together and make my own flatbed...maybe some extra articulation would help a bit, but im not trying to climb over anything huge...its still fun in mud, sand, and gravel...

servo mod, tamiya gearbox(like scionbeave mentioned, i have one too, so does texan_idiot25, C1v1C), 180 motor(XI, or atomicmods) or you can get some neo magnets for the s1(more torque than the s2) otherwise a very good start, Good Luck

wow, thats some smooth fender shaving! great job looks very symmetrical. The M/T truxus tire look very nice as well. If you like to crawl/offroad, I would suggest getting another truck/rearend. That way you can have a slow crawler and an offroader, so you can have either and no compromise...suggestion.

I think you hit it...I might not go crawler with this one, I kinda like it too much to destroy the body completely, I think im going to shave the body a bit more, do the articulation mod, and then just keep it for trail/mud instead of crawling...

...and thanks, the fender shaving took a while, I didnt want to lose the original lines of the truck so it was all done by sanding and an xacto knife...

Plus I got a drag Titan in the works, gonna post that soon, and thats getting a good overhaul, new board, FETS, so im gonna save some cash for that and a new clutch for my Kyosho Rampage, which im going to post pictures of soon...

well thanks to you and being on hold with my credit card company forever I shaved my fender flares and rear bumper on the Hummer today. Adds a lot more room for flex but I only have the off road kit tires and lift. When I get bigger tires maybe I will need to do more shaving

Well...here allow me to show you I guess...plus this gives me a chance to show my Rampage, which is my personal favorite...

I've sunk this thing in water, mud, sand, jumped it off my roof, and it still begs for more punishment...its too true, they dont make 'em like they used to...this thing flies considering its size...

Blue anodized aluminum chassis
Carbon fiber shock mounts
Tamiya Bruiser tires
Carbon fiber inlaid dogbones
Rebuilt OS .15 pullstart
High capacity tank
2spd transmission
HPI wheels
Waterproofed
Plus too many other upgrades to list

However the clutch shoes are smoked, so it not running right now hence the dust acumulation...parts are extremely hard to find for it...

Edit: The engine was rebuilt because I flooded it...with water, mud, and sand...lol

umm...your rampage should go into a different thread, this section is for xmods, and this thread is for your titan "crawler".

Thanks for the 'tip' morton, but you'll find that its easier to show someone something than explaining it to them...

Showing how my Rampage has been waterproofed was actually answering a question from a few posts ago, making it relavent to my Titan 'crawler' in that its exactly what im going to do to my Titan...

And seeing as how its my thread, ill post whatever I feel will help to explain what im doing with my XMODS...

But thanks anyway...

Edit: Sorry, I dont mean to come off as an ***, but I work 3rd shift and it was a long night, and everything went wrong...
