Default - Project Skyline 2000GTR -

After seeing Skv's GTR, I just have to order one myself. Just got the body yesterday and started to work on it, I might not gonna paint the body color, just to match all my white GT-R's. Enough talking, here's are the pics.

When I got the body, it doesn't fit well on the AWD's chassis, so I had to sand down the front clip and the front body mount a bit.

Wheels that I want to use.

Custom muffler.

This body doesn't comes with mirrors, so I'm thinking of using a set of mirrors that I found from an Aoshima model kit.

Chopped the headlights off, and making custom headlights.

Started to mounting those Aoshima model rims.

And here's just a random pic.

Let me know what ya think.

NO! Use the black wheels! They're sexxxxy. Maybe an externally-mounted intercooler?

I got the body from tinyRC.

I will be using the chrome mirrors, but not sure if those chrome rims are gonna stay, those rims are a bit smaller than the normal mini-z rims, and they are a bit narrow for this body.

I'll only make 1 critique/suggestion: if you're gonna make it look street, go for broke. Proper front grill, bumpers, no intercooler, etc. Also, mirrors go about 1/4 from the nose tip on the sides near the hood edge.

Edit: In fact here http://kultivate.wordpress.com/2008/...hakosuka-love/ I'll probably dress mine up as close to that as possible.

Thanks for that link, but I am still not sure if I will be keeping the inter-cooler or make a front bumper yet.

Thanks guys, those rims are from the Evo X, they won't be staying on the chassis. I am thinking of getting some team atlas rims for it.

Update: Got those Kyosho 4.5 degree camber knuckles in the mail today, and installed it. The normal off-set for this body is 0N and 0W, they seem to be too narrow to me, so I sand down a lot of plastic inside the wheel arches (only finished 1 side) and added some crazy camber to it, now it can fit 2.5N up front and 1W at the rear.

Imagine how well it will drive with such little tire patch contacting the ground.

Don't mean to sound like a prick or anything, but interms of effeciency and functionability. If he could drive like that on a track with no problems, then he just doubled his tires life span. Cause it looks like only the inside half of the tires are touching right?, so when the inside half gets worn, all you do is rotate the tires side to side. This is an RC, so rotating the tires side to side don't matter like real cars where its back to front, or other specific tread patterns.

Now, if gripping is an issue like that, then yes, I'd rather have full tire contact... Aside from that, I'm not too much of a fan of that angle. If you could lessing the angle a little bit. Also, is that 0-offset? or can you bring them in a little more narrow? If you keep that angle I'd bring them in a lil more narrow (in terms of looks atleast... not sure how that'd affect your driving)
