Forget a mini V8, those are going to be so far out of budget, each is a one-off machine.

Go get a brings and straton motor, low power, like 3.5hp would be plenty. chain drive to the axle. Weld on a go cart axle, not a live one witha diff, but similar to my go cart (pics later)

Or, wire it PROPERLY so that it runs off a car battery, place that battery over the rear wheels, take out the front batteries, and it will wheelie like mad. My old BuddyL jeep did this.

as far as the newness of these, dont buy one because you think the electronics are better. These have basically remained unchanged for nearly 20 years....

I would just go electric an V8 engine is going to be way to complicated, you would need a fuel system, wiring harness, fuel tank, radiator, plus a transmission to bolt to it, drive shaft, differential, some real wheels, for the cost you could buy a used mustang.

we dropped 2 of them in a golf cart last summer and it flies. just imagine how fast the pw mustang would go!

50hp? If its that much, maybe a riding lawnmower engine, not a normal one. But even then, your never going to get any grip, so why bother?

If you have the torque to get moving.. I keep hearing you say it, but never get to use it on you..

Its not that, its plastic tires They can spin even with in stock form, how do you think they'll take 50 hp?
