Sorry. I must have missed that one somehow?

As long as it was a 1980 Monte Carlo it is allowed. Anything after 1980 is not allowed.

yes dead serious...
No its not a zip zap. And its about the exact same size as an xmod. its about 7" long. xmods are about 6.5" long.

Its a model body that if i bought it brand new un opened would cost me about 200 bucks. they are very old and hard to come by. This was a store promo so it is pre built, which killed the value. so i picked it up for 42 bucks.

Ill be making it a replica of the vega i was racing in the vid.

As previously stated, Themes are predecided by the Xmodsource Moderating Team. However, if you have a suggestion, you may always PM myself or one of the other Moderators for consideration.

Corvette is a sports/super car. It's always been more than a muscle car. Next person who asks is banned for a week. None of your posts are going to change the rules. This is pathetic that any comp that's posted has everyone trying to wing around the set theme.

This is the FINAL warning. Take it or you'll regret it. I promise.

Is anyone else going through a nasty cold snap in the weather right now? I'm in central NY, and the weather has turned FRIGID all of a sudden. Painting in this weather is nearly impossible without a heated garage--which I don't have. I don't know if a cardboard box and a space heater are going to cut it this time...

I'm interested to see what kind of entries people come up with for this one. I'm working on two different cars right now; not sure which one is going to be entered yet.

You need to use my meathod for painting. I painted like 4 cars so far this winter in the 0-30 degree snowing weather.

Take a normal sized pop can, or spray paint can. Your body should set snuggly over it. Keep it inside so everything is warm. Grab your paint in one hand and your car in the other. (i suggest wearing gloves so you dont get paint on your hands) Step out side your door, spray a quick coat, and walk back in side to let it dry.

If your painting your car right it should only take you about 10 seconds to lay a thin coat of paint. So the cold will not affect it at all since you should only be out side for about 10 seconds max.

when it comes to pieces. Tape them onto a box. And do the same method.
You'll have no problems.

Or if you're cool like me and go to an art school...use the paint booths there Decent 5x4' areas with a hood over it and mostly enclosed. I'm going to paint my vette body tomorrow/Weds.

Well, since I'm not allowed to do my '86 Monte dragster, I've settled for a '71 Plymouth GTX. I'm not gonna leak my plans till later, but I will give you a hint: Monsterhunters Torino.
