Yup
Yup, carbon-fiber is pretty friggin expensive. I was extremely close to sending my hood of my G35 to Carbon Creations (same company of Extreme Dimensions) to get a copy of my hood in 100% carbon fiber, but I decided against it. It would be cool to get a XMod body of 100% carbon fiber, but anyway....... yeah, back to the topic. Right now there is even a shortage of carbon fiber since the people who manfacture the stuff are using for the war efforts and housing and stuff, so thats why I think the price of carbon-fiber is even going to up believe it or not. There is even a shortage of carbon-fiber in the automotive world... Oh well, hope I helped you out. I'm always up to help someone out in need.

You know, a body shop might have scaps of carbon fiber. Not sure how this whole process works, but i'm sure they have excess, or they might have some from cars that were in accidents, which also bring up the point that could could go junkyarding and find larger pieces. Not sure how easy it is to work with and shape.
