Default Going for another paint job. 67 Camaro

I just acquired this body in a trade, and now that it's my second this one is getting a paint job.

Still throwing ideas around, but so far my biggest idea is jet black and I'm thinking about getting a hold of someone to do a realistic flame job on it if I go black.

I cannot stand the grill that is on the front of it, so I will either paint the red part black, OR get the hidden headlight grill from the body kit (if someone has one PM me)

I want to do something smooth and sleek like this, maybe even in this color:

When I read the title, I thought your painting yourshelf queen! And I was thinking "So much for a mint body..."

The picture you have posted looks great, if you can pull that off with the wheels, stance etc... If your going for just the paint, I'd do the jet black with flames. Good luck with this project!

Haha no way in hell I would paint my only one. Got to have atleast one stock mint one. This body is in really good shape too though.

First plans are to drop this baby down, as you'll see why here:

Can't be having no 4wd redneck Camaros around here.

And that black with mystic flame would be SWEET blue50.

As for the possibility of blue, I have that blue from when I painted my NSX, but not sure if I want to use the same shade of blue as the NSX just because I already have one car in that color. Midnight metallic blue would look pretty killer.. ooooh, candy apple red! O_O *drool*

Candy apple red just became a huge possibility.

I think I might have narrowed my options down.

Midnight metallic blue with either silver stripes, or pearl white stripes.

Or, a simple candy apple red. Leaning towards the blue with one of the stripes though..

Got the car stripped of all it's body pieces last night. Hopefully I can get some time soon to go look around at some stuff. Thinking I might put my little air brush to work, if I can find everything for it. I just got a cheaper one though, so nothing fancy. Not that I need fancy.

HEY! 4x4 redneck camaros and el caminos make the world go round man!

I like this project though, paint is simple but effective change, and I haven't seen a good camaro in a while, so tthis should be awesome!

How LOW can you go?

Note: The exhaust is sitting on the ground.

Edit: Couldn't resist, this needed a few more pictures:

UGLY GRILL ALERT.

Love this picture.

Thinking I want to drop the rear just a hair more, exhaust wasn't touching in these pictures. Not sure why but I've been messing with it a bit so maybe it's not sitting on the chassis how it was.

Not sure if I'm actually using those side skirts, but I just threw it on for now.

Notice the top hole in this pic? This is my other Camaro. Basically I used a dremel and put that hole there, had to modify the bumper some to get it to fit.

As for the rear clip, pull the clip itself off and shave the mounting point down. Take off little bits at a time and test fit constantly to make sure you don't go too far.

There are other ways, but this is how I did mine. Might not be possible with all Xmods either.

I can go sooooo much lower then that! I'm draggin' the hood on the ground!

She looks good, VERY clean lowering. Get the rear slighly lower. And the front grill doesn't quite work.

Yeah, I'm needing the hidden headlight grill from the bodykit but don't want to buy another kit just for the grill. I think that will complete it, going to combine it with the chin spoiler bumper like on my other Camaro as well.

Going to drop the back a hair more, I think the rear of my other Camaro just barely sits on top of the rear tires so I'll be aiming for that. Give it a little rake.

Going to fill in the mirror holes, and I'm thinking about extending the body down a little behind the rear wheels to flow with the low lines of the side skirts, might keep the whole body flowing better. This I will have to experiment with first.

Not sure if I should go spoilerless or not, don't like the one it had but I really like the ducktail spoiler, but I don't have a spare.

Also going to have to fill in the little vents behind the hood, while modifying the body to fit on the chassis after lowering it so much I heated one up to much and warped the crap out of it. **** steering servo is in the way of the front going ANY lower.

Have you ever cut the RS grille for the chin spoiler front bumper?

I did it the 1st moment I had my 67.. Looks sweet.

What chassis is this on?

Why yes, yes I have. (Man that picture is old, I need to get updated better ones. Car looks much different now.)

It's on a Gen 1 chassis with AWD, red Stage 2, steering upgrade and blue springs all around. Basically a stock chassis with RS upgrades.

Not sure if I'll do anything chassis wise, need to focus my chassis work on Bumblebee's chassis.
