Ya I was I joking I rarely do more than 5 over the speed limit. But honestly even if I thought I had a chance to get away I wouldn't try running from the cops. They have had a lot of training and been in those situtations not only would running make it worse when they catch you it make it alot more dangerous not to mention just plain stupid. Most of the racing I have done was a while back and it was from a stop and we would go until we hit the speed limit on a 45mph road.

very cheap ticket, a friend of mine got a 100 in a 45 ticket 6 years ago opening up his camaro that he had built the engine up in. 645 dollar ticket, now it owuld be more.

I paid, all in all, 250+ for doing 83 in a 65 (open free way at night, just cruise controlled the way home)...

I mean me and him have gone 140 in his stealth and it was a blast

So, why are you asking us if you should yell at him for getting a ticket, when you were WITH him, going even faster, and did not complain? He actually had your life in his hands at a higher rate of speed, and you had no complaints. So, why complain when he does it again, but got caught?

yeah, street racing is stupid. it's one thing to drag race in an empty parking lot, but it's another to do it on busy roads. i will admit that i will definately race my friends, sometimes on the track, but maybe sometimes at the abandoned Ingles not far from here. When you're the only possible victim, it's okay. but putting other people at risk is just stupid.

empty parking lot:
-no innocent people
-more room for error
should only be about a $50 ticket regardless how fast you were going.

road:
-lots of people
- only about five feet from losing the road at almost any given time
should be severe. impound your car, take your license, $500+ ticket, whatever.

okay, sounds like i'm pro street racing in parking lots. not entirely, just saying if you wanna do it, do it there.

as for running from the cops, that's just stupid. the sooner you give up, the less time you serve and the better condition your car. honestly, though, i don't blame the guy in the f-150 (the one that hit me) for running. he had a warrant for his arrest. apparently, he was on vacation from texas when the cops saw him run a stop sign about five miles from me. they pulled him over and apparently he floored it... in reverse. he noticed his error before he hit the cops, but he still got one count of evading police and another count of attempted murder (driver of the cop car was just getting out, still standing behind his door.) so that made him have, something like 50 years in jail, and he was 40 something years old. so really, he had nothing to lose, he was gonna get life in prison no matter what he did. to be honest, even after the experience, i still think i would've run, too. that isn't to say i'm glad he did run, or that if i could walk i wouldn't go to his room and pull the plugs on whatever he's hooked up to right now, but still, i don't blame him for running. it's the crash i hate him for.

ehh bondo that's a bit harsh..... you get the death penalty from killing people, not from racing. and if i had a kid that was going to get the death penalty for expected street racing then he'd probably wish he was death after staying home with me for a few days.......

Ya i would have not thought it was cheaper i found out today the only reason it was so cheap is because the cop took pity on him. He is in some deep crap. He did not run from the cops the mustange did tho

I race only when some ricer provokes me enough =/ everything goes white and next thing I know I'm 2 blocks ahead of him with my exhaust roaring lol (yes I have cat-back not a bigass fartcan though)

Idk It just did made me relise that going 140 in a car is not smart. His stealth is gone for good parents sold it. end of story I just yelled at him a bit and its done. Close slash delete this thread if you want. Thanks for the help for those of you that did help me
