You're not going to find anything cheaper. The Tamiya High Lift is a top of the line RC, with aluminum pieces stock. They're a great RC to own and use; if you can spare the cash.

If you're going to get a Tamiya High Lift get ready to spend ~$600, no questions asked.

No, go to tower hobbies, they have one for like 300 and they also carry the the new hilux too for the same price.
Also, there isnt many aluminum peices at all.

I had a hi-lift for a while, the 3 speed is cool but not good enough for what i use it. So i took out the 3 speed and fabbed up a mount for a pede trans and threw that thing in it and it was like a whole new truck.

That's just a roller. I'm sure he's looking for a cheaper RTR version. (Which, it's a lot funner to build it than it is to use it. That way you know the in- and outs of your RC for when something goes wrong. Plus, you know everything's done properly.)

High-Lift's are so nice. I watched this one vid on U-Tube and the guy went completely underwater and it was still alive, and it wasn't waterproof. Man i want one.

They are the same chassis and stuff, just different bodies and wheels. Your not going to find a rtr version from a store, maybe a 3rd party and evben then you probably wont spend but around $400-$500 I spent $538 and that was the truck kit, esc, futaba 4vwd radio, and a 55t motor.

That's for a roller. That means no electronics. Good crawler/basher electronics will cost you yet another $200.

+1

If you're not willing to drop down a 'decent' amount of money on this hobby, then you're in the wrong hobby.

The Tamiya High-Lift is a specialty R/C, therefore, it costs more than 'normal' R/C because it needs special things to run in (specifically, a 4 channel radio system).

Or you can buy the parts and build something similar yourself, like I did. I only spent about $350 and it has way better articulation, and is RTR. I suggest you go to www.scale4x4rc.us

(If this is something I shouldn't do, please remove the link)

Really? That's strange, but at Willis Hobbies out in Nassau County(where my DT is being fixed) has them RTR for $385.99 That's weird. Well then again, they sell a lot of stuff under or overpriced. Just barely overpriced though, like 20-30 dollars US.

Why are you here just to make fun of us. You are going to be banned because of your name and your posts. RC stuff is fun anyway. Get a life, or leave. We don't need more spammers.

Its ok, I reported him. You should have seen what he said to me when I PM'd him, not posting it though. Is the High-Lift a good crawler, trail-rig? I want a durable, good trail-rig.
