and for your games Jimmy i can Look into it tonight and sugest some good ones i was kinda thinking more along the lines of higher demanding games but these are easily taken care of by a 256mb card maybe even a 128mb card thats dedicated for just the games and your stock main board one can handle all the random other stuff, but like i said ill look around for a good cheap card for those games.

What I will say is a few years back I put about 300 bucks into an Nvidia G-Force card and it rocked - it worked with either AGP or PCI, my board only had PCI but it didn't matter.... NVidia cards are normally pretty solid and a good place to start.

I have a nvidia 8600gt-s(PCI Express slot) and i can play COD4 and AA all day at max settings, but then again i also have a Dual-Core AMD Athlon x2 and 3.21ghz and 4gb of RAM so... hope this helps. I've also owned both Nivida and ATi cards and both have ran smoothly but Nvidia seems to run a little bit better and is a little bit more "Overclock" friendly.
If anything just try to get at least or more than 256mb of Ram on your Video card, whichever one you choose. You will be much happier. Also, soundblasters cards are good, you wont be let down. Last edited by 1985_RX-7; 03-04-2008 at 06:24 PM.. |

If I were you, I would get a few books or talk to some guys/nerds who know about this kind of stuff. Look at the minimum requirements on your games' boxes. Check out a couple sites, like NewEgg or Tiger Direct for good prices and selections. You may need to look into a new processor to be able to run the stuff you need.

Your on the right track there though. Just keep doing research, read reviews and what-not. Also, Like previously stated, check out www.newegg.com they have great prices and fast shipping too. Also, 2.5gb of RAM should be enough for what games you play. |

My old lady said I can't get a new PC befroe the house is sold, also I want a Bowflex before a I spen 3gs on a gaming computer, hell it would be cheaper to buy a big HD flat screen and a PS3. I think I would go that route before buying a new PC maybe in other 3-5 years I will buy or build a PC. thanks again every one for your help |
