The IC3s rock (they charge very quickly), but the only thing that can handle the draw from the motor I have are lithium polymers.

They'll last longer than the xmod craze. It's around 1000 charges.

correct me if im wrong, but arent there 2 types of lithium batteries?
lithium ion and lithium polymer.

lithium ion are the blue "A" sized batteries that most of us use in our xmods and lithium polymer general come in packs and are used in r/c ariplanes and stuff like cellphones.

one of the guys i work with put a 7.4v 2000ma li-poly battery on his xmod, from one of his planes, just to see what it would do. it went extremely fast. maybe even twice as fast as the lithium ion

Lithium-ion's come in more than just cylindrical cells, but yes those are what the majority of the Xmodders use, (also used in cell phones)

Lithium-Polymers are commonly used in airplanes, I have not seen any cell phones that use this type of battery.

Lithium Batteries- Non rechargable, Waste of money

Also, No one 7.4 Volt Li-Poly would not go twice as fast as a two cell Li-Ion setup.

The only reason a li-po-equipped xmod is faster than a li-ion xmod is because a li-po is lighter than a li-ion (the li-ions used in xmods are in a metal case, while li-pos are in a plastic case that weighs nothing), but it would still not be twice as fast.

I personally use lithium polymers. You should change your poll to include chioces for the 2 mainly used types of lithiums...

First, turn the caps lock off. Second, the RS rechargables are not very good. Go with the Rayovac IC3s and IC3 charger, as they charge in 15 MINUTES!!

I don't know what the hell you're talking about, since not only does less weight mean more speed, but li-pos are light enough where they barely affect handling. BTW, where YOUR xmod?
