my opinion is the h3 looks great the way it is but the f-150 needs all the help it can get.
anyone else notice the lack of door handles on the f-150????

I think Hummer lowered would look great and the F-150 raised for an off-road look would also kick ***

i would say use the hummer for off roading so raise it. and lower the f-150 and put a slammed kit on it. but thats just my 2 cents.

for the hummer, definately raise it, its meant for off road. for the f150, if you are doing the all-wheel-drive kit, then raise it, but if it staying 2wd, then whats the point in raising it? 2wd trucks dont get raised.

+1

for 2 logical reasons:
1. Center of Gravity. the Hummer is much more proned to flipping when driving hard/fast. whereas the F150 is much more stable.
2. the Hummer has much shorter overhangs, and higher bumpers (better approach and departure angles), and the shorter wheelbase makes it harder to get high-centered.

and one not-so-logical reason.
Hummers were origionally designed for offroading (NOT the H2...it was designed to transport the rich and small-in-the-pants), pickups were designed to haul stuff (which doesn't justify the racing version....but it's better than an offroader.)

Well said. Keep the hummer lowered then I forgot about how it likes to flip.

Both raised...trucks aren't truck unless you can walk underneath 'em!

My gf has a Hummer raised with the mud tires and it hasn't flipped...given that she doesn't drift in it or do cray tight turns......she just runs over my cars...

viggy,
that was rude as hell.
dont insult someones personal opinion if thats what your topics entails.
all that does is instigate flames and luckily civic_guy is mature enough to let it slide without being overly deffensive.

back to topic:
if you feel that only cars should be lowered why did you even make the topic in the first place?
IMPO, most vehicles can be made to fit ANY persons personal taste.
i do tend to lean towards more of an american standard with muscle being raised in the back, trucks being built on skyjacker, imports being riced, and exotics left stock.
however, if you limit yourself to these standards and you build a few cars your going to find that the norm gets quite boring.
my advice is take something from every style and make something completly unique. hell, thats what we all want to see anyways.
good luck with your build, i cant wait to see what yuo come up with.

cheers,
bondo

noones getting off topic.
everyone that has posted has posted ON topic.

YOU started the slightest bit of off topic when you basically called civic guy(or his car) a "***gy lil rice burner".the fact that you replied in that manner when this topic has ABSOLUTLY nothing to do with civics shows your maturity level.
and im as chill as can be,.....now if you would have said that kind of shxt to me personally we would have problems.
all im saying is you cant talk to people like that......if you do your either going to end up in a gutter or gettin your *** whuped from here to pakistan.
just remember to REREAD your post before you hit the send button.

off topic doesnt really matter at this point seeing as youve made up your mind on what your going to do so in my opinion this topic should be closed.

I agree. especially since you (viggy) posted something completely off topic, I deleted it, and you went and posted virtually the same thing again.
