Default 87 mustang gt project

ive seen alot of mustang gtr cobras an saleens 06 projects lately but wheres the late 80s early 90s stangs which is my personal favorite well im about to get a white 89 mustang gt 5.0 as a real car an i seen this at the local hobby store an was like hell yea i painted it candy apple red an put corvette rims on it which closely resemble cobra r rims well this is pointless without pics so here they are

with just one coat of candy

1 coat of a silver base 2 coats of candy an headlights installed still needs clear

turbo hood

all these were took indoors in bad lighting ill get better ones later

leave me some feedback an let me know what you think

Cool!! - I did that same model already! It's a 5.0 model too - it's looks good! I drilled holes in the front for the headlights and the fog lights - i just haven't put the LEDs in yet. Nice paint job though!

i was wondering how you build these model kits. after looking at xmodifications mustang and kigamkcalb17's i really want to build one. i have never bought a model kit before so wut do i need to do with them. i heard u have to build it yourself with like glue and stuff and paint it yourself as well. excuse my noobish questions

I'm really Sorry if i'm intruding on this post - but all you need is the model glue, an exacto blade and the kit - the only thing you'll use from the kit is the body and the parts that go on it. The instructions are easy to follow - i also have a tutorial on how to mount the body on the evo car chasis (in the "how-to-article section).

EDIT: You do need paint - Tamiya brand spray paint is what i recommend - spray it from about 6-8" away from the model, do about 2-3 coats for a richer look, and use a clear coat on top for that high gloss once the first coats are dry.
