Question Liths + AAA

Right now I am running 7 AAAs which is 8.4 volts. If I go to liths I will only have 7.4. Can you run a lith pack along with a single AAA to get the voltage back up? I know this would take it up to 8.6 but I think it would be ok. I am running a 2x2 stacked fet with a V10 motor in an Evo. Whats your thoughts.

no.
you never want to mix batt types
2 cells are the max you can use with liths.
if you had a v2. you might get away with 3 liths

i was thinking of adding another set of cells to my car, is it worth it considering the power to weight ratio??? or should i just wait and get the lithium ones?

bondo is correct, you don't want to mix battery types. The combined nominal voltage of two li-ions is equal to to the combined nominal voltage of a 6 cell upgrade. By adding the 7th cell all you have done is matched the peak voltage of a pair of li-ions. The best thing to do is convert to li-ion or li-poly.
