It would be cool, but 1: how would they make them? 2: You know how much they would cost even if they did make any.

nah, it might sound cool but its only for show and stuff. for example who would put hydros on a drifter or racer! plus its going to be hard to make and put hydrolics on a small car like an xmod

I think it would be sweet. and mounting the mechanisms to do it wouldn't be that difficult. the hard part, would be adding another channel or 2 to the radio to control them.

by the way, welcome to the site. A thread like this doesn't need to be in the off-topic section (for discussions about things other than xmods). and you should give your threads a title...or nobody will see/read them.

and I fixed both of those things

same concept, except on an xmod, it wouldn't be either, the easiest way to do it would be mechanical. not using hydraulic or pneumatic pressure.

best bet would probably be something along the lines of four servos running independantly.
the only drawback would be, you wouldnt get the "hop" just independant up and down for the four wheels.
basically it would act more like an air ride system and not a hydro.

has anyone ever seen the "homies" lowrider cars?
the setup would be similar to that.

cheers,
bondo

servo's like bondo said, but then you would need a whole new controller. One with more than 3 channels.

Later,

none of the xmods have a real lowrider style so i think hydraulics would be kind of pointless anyways. Do you really want to see a camaro with hydraulics?

they make plastic model hydraulics they are electric powered by i would assume some kind of solinoid. they r cool but again i am sure you would need more channels in your xmod which would mean moving to hobby grade electronics. Or you could put a small wired remote with a plug on it like they do for alot of hydro competitions

R.O.T.N. Racing said he ment like hydraulics make you hop airbag suspension will raise and lower it.

yea, I'm sure you did.

hydraulics allow both. the only advantage to using airbags in a real car, is cost.
