Default Chevy 1500 rebuild

Well, it's time to update my chevy 1500 pickup. it's pretty cool, but could use a new paintjob (probably same color, but sanded a little better, and another clear coat).

I've already installed the lift on the chassis, and it looks sweet, and have disassembled the body for paint.

but most importantly. I've assembled and painted the supercharger stack that's going to be sticking up out of the hood.

I used one from another model of the same scale, and instead of just cutting it off at the base, and gluing it to the hood, I'm actually going to use a hood with a hole cut in it, and mount the blower to a black peice of plastic underneath it...like this:

and, with the hood propped on it:

should be pretty sweet....look out competition....here I come!

Not a big fan of blowers and other things sticking out of the hood, but I have to say THAT LOOKS GOOD! Hope everything runs smoothly with your project!

well, paint is done. same blue, but I used a silver basecoat. and a clear coat (didn't last time)

it looks SOOO much better!!

anyway, I've assembled part of it. still haven't gotten the side windows in, the roll bar isn't glued down, and I haven't decided on a spare tire mount yet (what do you guys think. laying flat on the tonneau behind the roll bars, on the tailgate, or not at all?).

but, here's a crappy picture in very crappy light. hopefully it'll be a nice day tomorrow, and I can get some sweet pics of it...

that looks **** GOOD.
killer work on the paint.
for a bit more realism you could paint the butterflies on the blower red(holley) or black(edelbrock).
flat black on the wipers and its a complete, real looking chevy truck.
