I would have to know if it's a diecast or plastic model but If it's a diecast - it's really hard to work with plus it's too heavy! if it's a plastic model - you need to extend your chasis so that the wheel match up in the wheel wells perfectly - then all you have to do it mount it. I have pictures of how i mounted my ferarri testarossa on my evo chasis -it's in my thread that says "Ferarri Testarossa..." oh yeah Pepsiboy - I wanna see that strobe light setup you got for your KITT model - i'm still working on mine plus i'm doing the flip up lights for it too.

Custom flip up lights on the KITT model should look amazing. Keep us posted with pics!

yea thanks for that definitely cleared up...i have a suspicion that it is diecast because of its weight

If you didn't know bahasad, die-cast is like metal. You probably know that but just in-case.

Hey, i saw that the shelby was yellow, what shelby would that be and what if you did a convertable or targa, how would you go about the interior

That's something i have in mind but i never put to much tought to it. I would probably put in the dash board and steering wheel and use a cut out of the inside (top view) to cover up the chasis. You'll cover up the chasis and make it look like the inside of the car all in one! if you don't really undersand - it would be like the engine cut out idea i used for the Testarossa.

Talking Thanks

Oh thanks, I would have done the same thing with the convertable. You could do black racing stripes down the center of the Shelby and do an elanor bodykit and then it would be like the Super Snake Paul Sr. from American Chopper got as the payment for the Elanor bike. Go on the uniqe performance or shelby website and you might get a pic of it, or you may be able to get it off of yahoo.

LOL - no dude! after so much painted bodies that i did - i had to learn a few techniques in painting - which basically comes down to: distance you spray from (6-8" away from model in open space), the type of spray paint used ( Tamiya Brand recommended) do about 2-3 coats ( to ensure no missed spots and a better gloss shine) make sure it drys well before appling another coat or it will result in the paint running or orange peeling, and the last but not less - apply clear coat on the finished model - it makes everything shine and gives a lil protection from minor scratches.

Default New pics - Viper done And Shelby 90% complete!

Hey guys, just updating you on my projects - I finished the Viper but just some lil minor touchups are left on the rear. As for the Shelby - the only thing left for that is to mount it on the chasis. I did a little custom sound system for the Viper and a cool feature that you'll see in the pics...

It's a flip down LCD screen on the hatch! Just my lil touch for this baby!

Thanks guys!! The rims are the same wide GPM alloy rims i had on the Testarossa and the hood pins are painted on - it didn't have them on the decal sheet. As for the KITT model - i'm still working on it - mainly trying to find a circuit board that will fit right. A friend of mine said he can programme a board for me but i will have to wait for a lil while because he's finishing some work on a computer programme at the moment. I would say in about a week i should be finished with KITT.
