Default Will these motors work?

Hey guys, I was browsing through Towerhobbies and I saw these motors. I want these for a drag motor in my Gen1 camaro. Heres the 180: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJSH0&P=7

And then there is a Heli-Max motor: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXPCP2&P=ML

there is a front and a rear Heli-max but I don't think it will matter. Will these motors run off or stock fets?

There's no way to determine that, no winds mentioned, cans, etc...

It looks like garbage, but XmodsNut seems to praise that HeliMax motor a lot......
Still looks bad..

Just handwind a s1, get a few off AM, and do what you do.

You'd have to check it with a multi-meter off a constant voltage of 4.8V to see if it would blow the stock FETs or not. The other way is just test it on a stock board and hope for the best.

I'm assuming the front motor goes to the main rotor and the rear motor goes to the tail rotor. I could be mistaken, however, as I've never really delt with a Heli-Max. If that's the case, the front motor would be more powerful because it deals with the most important rotor.

I can handwind, Its just that I cant undo the clamps! I bought one of those $3.50 motors from RS and they solder, not clamp. I wound that to a 40 turn and it still sucked

Yeah opening the comm tabs is so hard, I can't do it...don't feel left out dude.

Lol, it sucks because:
-The can, brushes, and mags are of some of the lowest quality.

No crap I know they are, I just wanted to see if the comm tabs were solder so I could practice. Now where can I find a BB can with neos, Spiral arm with solder comm, and M1 endbell...

There's no such thing as a Solder Comm, RED, is there??

M1 endbell is more expensive than an Atomic quick-release.
