Nice parts list and all, but why do you need all that stuff with no motor and battery upgrades?

well these are lighter parts prolonging the life of the baterys not to mention tightes up handling abildys. i plan to upgrad moters as the last step. but its a ways off as u can see.

as u can see i added pictures for hat i could. only 1 finished project. the others will be worked on 1 at a time after i finish all the parts will upgrade motors before moving to next project just don't know what way ill go with motors yet i ill get a official xmods upgrade or go to some place like atomic mods.

Actually, GPM turns and xmod into a brick. I've got a few full GPM cars and they weight at least 60% more with all the alloy. The best alloy upgrades are springs, lower arms, front and rear shock towers, and depending on the motor, an alloy gearbox and differential. Great start on them, though. Lots of potential to put power to them.

so would it be better to do just suspension and steering to tighten up handling like bearings, knuckles, arms, shocks, mounts, tie rod, Universal Swing Shaft, and rims???

Pretty much. The expensive GPM parts wind up being the front gear casing, rear gear casing, and motor cradle. They look great, but aren't necessary. There's nothing wrong with plastic wheels, either, unless you keep wearing out Dholes. Another good investment is locking nuts for the axles to keep your wheels on. Lithium batteries wind up saving you some weight and is by far the most effective upgrade for these cars besides changing out the RX/TX.

What he said.

Lithium batteries are a great thing to throw on your xmod, I have a set on my back yard basher truck (I have like $100 in aftermarket parts on it right now). Definetly lighter & prolonged driving time.

You wind up getting a lithium ion or polymer pack (we love polymer), and it comes with a Dean's micro plug. You solder one end of that plug to the battery terminal pads on your board ...charge your batteries, and plug the batteries in. The Li-Po batteries go in where your stock battery tray is.

i would stay very far away from lithium, not to offend suicide but to me i just cant handle the servo jitter and twicthing it causes and if you go back to AAA the jittering and twicthing doesnt go away. imo you'd be wayy better off just getting 1 or 2 nice sets of track proven R1 Wurks.

My truck has no servo jitter at all. Why? I have no Idea.

It does right when I turn it on & then it goes away.

I don't know. I never need to turn it slowly from side to side.

The servo thats used in the xmods is made/set up to run 4.8v so when you go & put 7.2v in it causes the servo (sometimes) to twitch which is the jitter that you get.

If you want better control and handling, I'd throw in a mini Z or micro T board and a better servo.
