Nice job. Looks good. Maybe you could paint it black. But regardless, don't forget the Golf's red lining around the grill.

Well.. this mount is just a mount without the back clip or the front clip in.. just fits like that... with the back clip in.. im guessing it should be fine.... and im still deciding on colors and rims..

Yeah, if I ever buy a sports hatch, I'll be getting a Golf GTI. I don't know why, but I love the styling. Hatchback models are rare, and German models are semi-rare. But just one foot to left of my keyboard is an American hatchback model body put on an Evo chassis. Once I get a chance to upload photos of it to photobucket, you'll see it!

well. im a gen 1 and 2 maniac.. i dont have any EVO chassis.. and in gen1 and gen2 there where no German models except the Porsche Cayenne( which is i think gen 3 if im not mistaken
P.S. i know that the EVO chassis are sooooooo much easier to work on cause i saw from the gen 2 chassis that changing the engine is a 2 minute job and in Gen 1 its like a 30 mins job(and if you add AWD then gen 2 is 10 mins and gen 1 is an hour and half(if your not very good with keeping things steady) if you are then its like an hour

Awe man. I was thinking about picking up this model as a project.

Looks good, get some paint on it. Will the model kit tires fit over you wheel? It will help with the look of it if so.

i tried it and my tires were too hard to fit and were too small(cause of the rim size) but it might be hard cause this model is over 4 years old

Maybe you could try getting the rim adapters from XI and using the model rims?

Did this model fit up to the skyline wheelbase that perfect or did you have to stretch it?

small update:
I was having problems making the wire that is used to transmit the frequency waves longer, so i got some tape and aluminum foil and extended it(i didn't feel like attaching another wire to it), then as you may have heard, i had recently gotten my first street car that isn't a gen1 which is the corvette ZO6, and i h8ed the body so much cause you could modify it, so anyways i got a AWD kit on it(because i the bodies were transferable i could drive it while lookin in style )
so i used the Medium shaft(L) to make the car shorter and use it for my wrx or skyline or whatever, then i used the long one for this(it is a bit too long hence the small glitchy noises in the video but im going to get that fixed, the car doesn't glitch as much while on the ground
