Project STL-Racing Customs Subaru STi
The summary: I have always wanted to create a clean Subaru. I personally love WR Blue Pearl, but it would be nice to see something other than blue in my mini-Subaru Collection. Thus I went scouting for a used Subaru Body, which I recently purchased from Chris at XI. This project will be an ongoing project until painting season, alongside my STL vs. Kaze clean GT-R faceoff.
The details: It's a used Subaru body, which means, yes! Scratches! There are some minor scuffs and scratches throughout the body. However, this one is going to be painted, so those will all go away (hopefully!). The body came with no clips or mirrors, but I had some spares so that is taken care of. It also has a mild front bumper, wild rear bumper, mild spoiler, carbon hood, and mixed sideskirts! Hehe. The plan: Xmods enthusiasts can associate clean cars with me, and, this one should be just as clean as my previous work. The color is confidential until the car is done. The only body mods planned so far are lowering, fender lips and some minor bumper work. I have the front ride height about where I would like it as of now. The rear has been lowered but you guys don't get to see this yet. The stuff I got: The car... I have added one fender lip. Thanks, Skys @ SkysTheLimit Racing Customs |

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate the kind words. Images are not perfect and blurry because they are meant to be teasers as much as progress pictures |

Yeah the rear is too bulky; I'm trying to get a stock front and rear, haven't found someone to get those from yet.
Actually yes I do have the spoiler plans so far. I'm going to take some pics and color them in half-black, then tint the top 1/2 50% black so that I can officially call them teaser/spoilers. Heh just kidding man, I know what you mean. I'm fitting an OEM-look Subaru Limited rear spoiler on the trunklid. Thanks, updates soon (kinda messed up the rear fender), Skys |

I kinda dig it with out a spoiler..
I'd like to see the front bumper with out the little divider in the center..

Fender Lips: If you really want I suppose I can make a tut, but it's real simple.
taken from STLR: Process: I took thin plastic and taped it to the body. Then, I heated the plastic which caused it to conform to the wide STi fender. The heated and cooled plastic fit perfect so I then outlined the parts I wanted to make. I cut them out and glued the new flare to the body. I then took a rotary tool and cut out the remaining excess plastic in the wheel well. Texan-Me too, I'm not a fan of the little Japanese wing type things. So hopefully I'll be able to recreate the limited look, as it's really clean. Actually I would like that center without the ridge too. If no one wants to sell stock bumpers to me, I might have to do something like what I did with the Lancer. Skys |
