Great job very tuff project as I can attest to 1st hand as I've done this conversion dozens of times.

One question where did you get those Halibrand wheels from??? I have several variations of my own but none are direct fits for my Xmods or MiniZ's.

Are they just hubs that attach to existing wheels??

Are they functional wheels??

Love to get ahold of a few sets so I could complete some of my mini-mes...

Welcome, vikingz. That's a lot of Shelby Mustangs you have there. Do they all have all of the Eleanor-correct features?

The wheels were made by my brother; he's working on an Eleanor of his own and has a resin-casting kit. The wheels are complete, functional Xmod wheels (one piece).

I don't want to side track this thread too much.(let me know)

Can you/he make more sets for sale?? I'll take three sets today for starters.

Can other scales be made then???

Not all in pic are converted(old pic), but over two dozen to date. The obsession all stems from my 1:1 and my back round in miniatures. My goal has been to try and fill in every scale from 1:1, pedal car, 1:5rc to ZipZap Much more detail goes into the larger die cast. RC's and slot cars are the ones with wheel issues.

Here the extent of some of the smaller conversions...

I'll have to ask him about the 1:25 wheels and if he wants to make more. I doubt he'd be interested in other scales, but I'll ask him.

I'm still suprized at how great the car turned out. It looks flawless nicely done. But he did do the hood pins its easier to see on the pictures on page 4.

Thanks! I would eventually like to enter it in a comp, but want to get some more mechanical/electrical done to it first.

Thanks! Hood pins were molded into the model kit's hood. They don't show up well with the chrome silver paint in most of the pictures I've taken. Chrome foil would work better, but I need practice before I try it. Never had luck with the stuff in the past....

Thanks, I'm kind of surprised at how it turned out, myself. With how long the details took, I had to force myself not to rush it and do a shoddy job that I would regret later. Now I'm afraid to drive it much.
