Well, I was having electrical problems with the hummer, a custom body would be easier with the longer chassis, and radioshack was running their big sale with the $20 rebate.....so I bought an F150, and swapped all the mechanical stuff (suspension, and drivetrain) onto the F150 EP with the longer driveshaft and spacer, and then did a little body lift and alot of fender trimming....and this was the result:
can anybody see what else I did? and a pic of it on the trailer: and check out the articulation on the tow rig! not bad considering it has the drop kit (which limits travel) and tighter springs: now I need to find a body for the crawler.....cause I HATE the stereotype of a huge pickup with swampers on it Then it needed some command logic lights: I cut out the area for the top headlight out of the chrome one-peice grill. Then cut a peice of clear plastic that would fit in the hole, then ground some texture into it (for a little diffusion....). Then I painted the body behind it flat white, drilled a hole in each side, and inserted light. then the rear, the taillights were already clear plastic, so I just popped them out, drilled a hole under each one, stuck the lights in them then glued everything back together, and it works great!!! I also did some touch-up painting on the rear bumper, painted the horizontal surfaces flat black....it looks much better. aswell as replaced the hood with a peice that was all one peice, instead of my hackjob putty work trying to fill the hole. muuuuch better anyway, here are the pics: lights off: lights on:

I was just thinking about the scale towing capacity thing....I could actually test it, and find out, but I can set the F150 sideways on top of the bed of the chevy without bottoming out the rear springs. and it pulls this load (keep in mind that's a die-cast steel trailer) with relative ease. it eats through batteries pretty quick, but still goes almost as quick. and that's on RS stage 2 armeture/brushes, and stock FETs.
