This is a quote from him, replying to my email I sent him also wondering the same question.
Quote:
Hello,
No, you are correct-I use [email protected] as my email contact now as the original [email protected] was not always available or reliable.
As for the crawler motors-they are currently on hold till I determine if their will be anymore micro gear motors that I use produced. Check out my blog at www.diyminituner.blogspot.com for more info. Wish I could be more specific. Thank you for your interest and I hope I resume production.
Basically I read on that blog site, that the micro geared motors they got in had a 3mm drive shaft instead of a 2mm drive shaft that the previous ones had. So until they can find one with a 2mm drive shaft or some way to get it 2mm, none are going to be made.

It shouldnt really matter, they sell good crawler motors, but at a high price. Just custom make one yourself, or buy one from a member on here.

I make the crawler motors. There are no more 2mm shaft micro gear motors. My supplier made a mistake and sent me 3mm units. Supposedly the factory that made the 2mm motors actually made them by mistake...like the made more than were ordered and offered them for sale...never to really make that style again.... The spokeswoman from the company said there might me more coming in like 5 months....so everything is on hold till I find more or create another version. Everything also comes down to the mighty $ and by the time I was finished building the motors with all costs of parts considered I really was doing it for very small gain and never really recouped all the development costs of many many prototypes and failed ideas. Lucky for me I enjoy developing the products just as much as selling them. Believe it or not, a selling price of $34.95 doesn't leave alot of room for error. I am sure I could get the price down if I was to have something custom made, but the quantities would have to be in the 1000's. So that is not going to happen....The whole idea of these motors was that they replicated the stock 130 motor in size and shape and fit perfect in a NON modified truck gearbox and basically kicked *** compared to any of the servo jobs. For those who have complained about the price which was $34.95 all I can say is that I sold every one of them and I truly thank everyone who supported the product (many of the people who bought saw it on this forum) and I wish I had more to sell as it was very a popular though time consuming product to source and build. If I get more I will let everyone know.

I've been looking into this too. I really want one of these motors to complete my truck project.

There's many DIY mods that can handle the job. Tamiya gear boxes, servos, and gear reduction setups.
