Bye bye 325I
My wife took my car to the dealer today to get a noise in the front end looked at, ended up being a tie rod end that was going to cost over 1k to fix and they also noticed it's water pump starting to leak. I just hit 173,000 miles (53k in the last year) so I decided it was time to upgrade a little. I'll probably shoot myself in the morning, but for tonight, i'm in love...

ONE GRAND FOR A TIE ROD!?
It's one nut at each end, a new rod, and an alignment. I swear, Bimmers are made of unobtainium. On the other hand, props for sticking with the classy body style Bimmer! |

Yes, X is AWD, and the tie rod was an inner, which made it part of the steering rack or some BS, had to get the whole rod and bla bla bla. Basically I was looking for a good excuse to trade it in and that one did it for me.

Fellow 330xi owners
The XI's are a different machine in their own. They have a ton more problems/issues than the RWD counterparts and certainly drive differently but with snow tires they are monsters in the snow. Good luck with the new car! |

sheesh I'm with the 1k TIE ROD!!
then again you took it to the dealer, they charge scandalously for stuff like that, better off taking it to a shop that specializes on European cars. But the again maybe its time for the upgrade hehe. 330 looks nice
