positive is better because the width of the car foot print becomes wider therefore making it more stable

Stability vs. agility..... I take agility. The 02 is already stable... offset refers to how far the rims are pushed out from the chassis to accomodate the body wheel wells (bodies have different offsets)

+3 offset is 3mm from stock (0) and +2 is 2mm... and so forth. The smallest is -1 fronts.

if you can, get reflex's wtf system so you can run zero offset on front, but keep the look of offset, and you get less steering scrub, giving you better handling.

That is just filling in the wheel well. How is the wide track front a waste of cash? I bet you've never tried one...if you don't race I doubt you would be able to notice. The wide track is a genius idea for those looking for a more stable front end.
I can get about 20 hrs on my pn front tires before the amount of scrub renders them useless.
The wtf is designed to reduce the suspension stiction is the sense that a larger offset will cause stiction in the front suspension. This system is to reduce it to little or none depending on the offset used. I have one and it works beautifully on my dbr9.

You will want to get tires as your first option. I recommend shopping from reflexracing.com and ordering their team package for beginners. It is a really good set of parts that will allow you to mod your car with some good first upgrades. I would get more than one set of tires though.

This is the deal I am talking about : http://www.reflexracing.net/proddetail.asp?prod=rx1112

@blt-it doesnt matter that the website you gave me a link to is for the mr-02...the mr-02 and mr-015 can be interchangeable or even the same chassis just different mm lengths...

Not the tie rod and thats a pretty important piece. I wish my local-ish stores carried a MR15 set instead of just MR02 ones.

WTF kit does NOT fit on the MR015, the mounting holes are different.

The Silvia is a very narrow car anyways, even on the MR015 I think the max offset you could use is somewhere around +1 front and +2 rear (narrow wheels).

-1 offset wide wheels would be sweet if they fit.

-1s should fit all actually narrow cars. Look at my Trueno/RX7 in the Street Supremacy thread.
