Default Crawlers: Servo-mod pics, post 'em

As well as building up this little Titan, I am working on a full build-FAQ for crawlers.

So, if you have the servo mod on your rig, please post pics. The more the marry-er. Looking for how it was mounted, and what sort of gears you used mostly.

Well i don't have a servo mod. Hopping to get a chassis to do one but anyway.
I was wondering if these hitec servos will work? They are the about the same size but have more torque:
http://thetoyz.com/cart/thetoyz_sear...+servo&x=0&y=0
THere are many servos on that page that might work

Key thing is mounting. Otherwise it will start to slip easily. Post how yours is mounted

An HS55 and HS56 will work in your Xmod. May take a little more work to cram it into the motor cradle, however. But, it's all feesable.

ZOMG INSPERATION!!!! I got a roller propulse, with a servo!!! How exactly though did you wire it up and let the servo spin 360 degree's? Is it just like doing it with the HS-55?

This is the part where you tear into it, and see how to figure it out yourself. That is the path to discovery.

ok well i think the servo is messed up. There isnt a tab on the casing ther is one on the gear, I cut that off, and i saw one of the gears teeth were all messed up but it still turned freely. Well i got it all done ready to wire up and there is 3 wires:

Which are power? I tried all the combo's and no luck

Remove the motor from that little EP, and then just wire it straight to the motor.

Haha, Yea, those servos work great. I did actually have a different servo on there, (found here for cheap http://www.nitroplanes.com/5gtorcse.html) But I managed to burn that one up, too much power, burnt the motor up. These servos don't need much power at all.
