Default Saleen problem

Ok i have a mustang Saleen Barricade xmods and i cant drive it any more, the reason is that when i drive forward the gears sorta grinde, but when i drve backward the car might lunge foward or backward but most of the time the motor (or the grears) is jus spinning in the cradle. Can some one help me??

it sounds like the differential is toast. held the car off the ground and hold one tire and spin the other one. it should turn your motor. if not check gear mesh between pinion gear and main gear. if its good, its most likely your diff.

if its your diff you can replace it or glue it to lock it. warning though if you lock your diff and drive on slicker surfaces you will have a harder time turning it.

I had this same problem with an evo barricade I recently purchased. I opened up the rear of the chassis and there was a sesame seed wedged into the gearbox.

Could be something as simple as that...

ok here you go. you hold wheel that i have my hand on, spin the tire closest to you, and you should see the gears i have circled moving. if you don't you either have a busted diff, or a broken dog bone.

I had the same problem and the plastic gear cover was on to tight, so I just had to loosen it a bit.

If you're going that route, now;s the time to do it - if you can still find em at radio shack they are dirt cheap.
