Dirty Jato-Pede
Hello fellow RC's,
How's life been treating you all?? Well for me it has been a crazy busy ride especially at work, I have had zero time to do anything RC related plus the weather has been crap so I haven't even been able to crawl in the AX10. I did however some across some cheap Jato parts, $10 for front / rear A-Arms and castor blocks: I grabbed them because I wanted to have a go at the Jato / Stampede wide arm mod. I am about 80% done with it, all done on the cheap with nothing but the Jato parts being purchased. Here is the Stampede chassis pre-mod: I want to say the width is about 13" at the front. Then with the mod complete: I want to say it's between 14-15" wide now so a gain of around 2", it's hard to judge because I am using stock AX10 links for the steering linkage, they are a little to wide and give me a rather stupid amount of toe in, I need to either cut them a little or find a better solution. My favorite part about it is how well my F-350 hardshell body fits: On full suspension compression the wheels no longer hit the body: Once place where I know I will have to spend money is on the rear CVD's, the MIP ones currently installed are about an inch to short: So will have to source some 1/8 ones I guess, if anyone has any suggestions on cheap ones that would be awesome. Thanks!
