Muddy look on GMC 4x4
Hey guys, i'm just posting another little update to one of my old time favorite GMC 4X4 model that I did Along time ago.
I just added that muddy look to it so it has that unique offroad look to it: This is it before>> Here's some pics of just the body after - i'll put it on a chasis later and get some outdoor pics also: More updates to come soon

Updates (4/24/07)
Well, I haven't gotten it dirty for real yet but I have done alittle motor mod to it. I also made some new rims for a new set of swampers that I got recently. Anyways, here's the pics of the body on a f-150 chasis and the servo motor mod I used on it:
Here's pics of the micro servo motor mod that I did. It was set on a busted up motor mount that I had to cut up since it had cracked already. ok - just in case you're wondering - it has lot of torque and it's really slow but it's good for rock crawling. I'll also make another metal belt strap for it that will look more nice - this one was mainly my test piece. All my f-150 chasis will be painted black as soon as I get a chance to do so - lol, and i'll have a little vid of it pretty soon - maybe a little rock crawling and some in mud too. More stuff to come soon.

You need to make a new strap soon... With that motor tilted like that, you're gonna be stripping gears fast..

Nice truck. Love the wiper effects. Is the paint permanent?

Thanks for the compliments guys. @ Sweed - i have already made a new one but it seems like the rear diff has been slipping instead of the gear set up i have - I see what happens when I lock it up.
@ coolcar - yeah it's permanent paint on it - i'm not looking to do anything else to the body right now - but I did added a " wash me" on the rear tail gate and some rolled down tinted windows - it's in the pics but you gotta look good to see it- lol

Ok, so i did a new motor strap, locked both front and back diffs and i also added the metal bearings - the clicking stopped and this baby can climbs pretty good now. The only thing left is to paint the chasis and get the short video clip to show you guys how it handles. I got to say that i'm so pleased with it that i'm making another GMC 4x4 truck. The new one will have custom flares, and interior, added scale items and a working wrinch that will be able to pull things including the truck itself.
Here's a shot of the new clip:
