I don't fancy another US oldie, but fact that you made it fit perfectly well is sweet. Hurry up and paint this sucker!

Yeah, how's the finishing work coming?

Thanks for that pic of the wheel. My kit came in the mail the other day, so I've started on it. I have all four wheels mounted, the chassis stretched, and the body mounted. I'm at the paint stage, myself. Are you going to enter yours into the December COTM? What kind of other custom work have you done to yours?

Thanks guys.

Just really waiting on weather to warm up some to primer and paint are actually possible.

Believe it or not, Texas has had a winter. And snow.

Yeah, working with paint in cold weather is tricky. I just painted my Christine clone, but had to try 3 different approaches before I got it to come out right. What I ended up doing was making a "paint booth" out of a large cardboard box, a ceramic space heater, and my work light. It worked to keep the paint warm and also sped up the dry time.

My car is just about finished. I still have to make the license plates and do a little touch-up work to some of the details. Keep us posted on yours. What shade of red did you go with? I used Chrysler "Cardinal Red" on mine....not sure what shade they used in the movie....

Just going to use a Gloss red. Doesn't look much special in the movie.

Trying to make time with the weather and my truck.

You were thinking of a movie called The Car. Basically like Cristine but this car had no driver, was obsessed only with killing every person that got in it's way and when it was destroyed a image of the devil or a demon came out of the explosion that destroyed it.
