yes it is the brightness. MCD means millicandella, and candella is a measure of lights intensity. I dont know the math on this one but the higher the mcd the brighter the light basically.

and could you use ultraviolet??? would it help at all

nice site...but uv is like a blacklight right? Only shows up against fluorescents?

I dont know much about the viewing angle (although i assume some led's are meant for broad range and some are focused like a spotlight)

30 degrees isn't too small but i think those led's would be bright enough and they are really cheap... $.87 each

30 degrees is like a floodlight, not sure what you want them for but they would make pretty good headlights i think. I imagine that the lower the degree the more intense the beam.

if you mounted an LED with a 90 degree viewing angle would that go across the whole front of the car... im kinda confused on the viewing angles once mounted...

I think it means the optimal angle in which the light would be projected. so a 90 would spread light off of both sides and the front equally instead of concentrating it out the front as a 30 or less would do. I am just assuming here so dont take my word for it.

$.87 is not cheap i should know my brother is the owner of Auto X Systems a digital lighting co.http://www.com/ so i get all of my leds and electronics for free. he gets then really cheap.

free is cheaper than anything...but $.87 is better than 4 or 5 on ebay or radioshack

minimum 5 bucks shipping...the point was that you probably couldnt find them cheaper on ebay unless you bought in bulk.
