Yes. However, your steering radius will sharply increase with a locked differential. Especially a front locked differential.

To my understanding, when locking a differential, your steering radius will increase, not decrease.

The only time I've seen locked Diffs used it for Drifting.
Yes, I still have a locked front. :P |

for drifting, sometimes you need a tighter turn radius so i'd say take apart your diff and put some thick grease inside, and rebuild and tighten your diff.
i have a tut posted up somewhere on this forum. but locked rear is ok for drifting. never lock your front diff though

I'll believe that when my Gen 1 stops donut drifting with an unlocked front diff.

Not sure I would want to lock the front for race/drifting because of the turn issue. I locked the front and rear in the Hummer for crawling and its is better but I did notice the turning radius increased a lot for the scale.
I also swear the battery dies quicker but that could just be me being crazy

here we go: http://xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13193 just before you put it back together, put some thick grease on the inner gears. it'll tighten up the diff but not to that its locked

ok, i think i fixed my problem by soaking both the stock locked rear diff, and stock RS awd open front diff in ATF...seems to be doin good now!
also, whats everyones opinions on atomics ballbearing front diff?superduty front diff? would an aftermarket rear diff be an upgrade if i plan on it being locked, or would the stock rear diff(locked) be the same as any locked aftermarket rear diff? im askin cuz i plan on getting an atomic front diff, composite shaft gears, carbon or perfect driveshaft(which ones better) and maybe an aftermarket locked rear diff(if it IS better than the stock diff locked up) suggestions plzz? |

And I said I have a LOCKED front diff, and that I'll believe the "NEVER lock your front diff" when my Gen 1 stops donut drifting with a unlocked front diff.
