Along with MKIV, I have questions about the appearance of the Xmods.

Why is there a gap and why is the back so high? This is a GT-R. Not a monster truck.

And

Why is it so low? Do this to the GT-R too.

Well, the reason why they're like that is because they're pre-production models, not the real thing. So they won't look like that. Hopefully.

the window gap might just mean that the windows are removeable ( making it easier to paint)

And, if you looked really close, they were put on Gen 1 chassis.

I think he ment the G35 in the mini-mags. Speaking of them, the gen 1 mini-mags had the gen 1 chassis running without batteries

What makes you think this? Look closely and you can see panel gaps for removable parts.

Well, I'm just saying that the Transformers Xmods had just the front and rear fascias and the hood that were removable but not the side skirts. Typically (I'm not sure if all) Xmods had removable side skirts for body kit parts. Then again, this could be different. That's why I said from the looks of the pre-production model. We don't fo' sho' yet.

And I still wonder if the new Xmods will come in those plasic cases...

I spoke with my local RS today and they believe the new line will be released by mid to late Sept. From what he said once the new line appears in their news letters they should be available through "direct to you" before hitting the shelves. We will see.
