Just a suggestion, why not make this a general whats your favorite car(s) thread ? For the people who don't like muscle cars, or don't like Tuners or the Europeans ? Just a thought.

My one question is how could you not like muscle cars. My biggest thing is not the cars but the history behind them. It just know when I sit down in my camaro that it was made in fisher body and when you someone says cops you have the urge to downshift and throttle. I just love it. Now I don't have anything against imports or subcompacts but they just cannot compare to the history of the muscle car.

Maybe it's just the people's own taste ? Or the fact some people are so hung up on Muscle cars, Tuners, etc... that they say the type of car is much better because I got more hp and I do 8 seconds in the 1/4 and track races are for pussies etc... etc... Hope you get the idea. Thats probably what turns me off of Muscle/Tuner car lovers so much. The European guys from what I seen are pretty all around nice guys. Well, except for Clarkson. Don't get me wrong, all cars are better in their own way. I just perfer European/Japanese over American.
Enough chit chat, some of my favorite cars from Europe , This specific one is for sale somewhere in Japan for an unknown price. Group buy anyone ? McLaren F1, I love them all. Right from the F1 to the F1 Longtail GTR. Timeless classics and the styling is unqiue for sure. Worlds fastest N/A engine producing 627hp. A 6.1L V12 in a car that weighs just over 2500lbs/2300lbs gives great performance results with 0-60 coming in just 3.2/3.9 seconds and once holding the worlds fastest production car record at 240mph. Mercedes CLK GTR AMG, started as a regular CLK. Rarer then the McLaren with only 35 total produced, 2 prototypes, 7 racing coupes, 20 road coupes and 6 roadsters. Powered by a 6.9L V12 AMG engine producing 612hp. Later on, the engines were replaced with more powerful 7.3L V12 which is currently used in the Pagani Zonda. Porsche GT1, the GT1 debuted in 1996 and was ready for 24 hours of LeMans. Has next to no similar parts to 911 except the front part of the chassis was shared with the 993. A twin turbo charged flat six making 600hp powered this LeMans 2094lbs beast. Rumors have been going about it topping 640hp and 205mph on the Muslanne straight with a low downforce setting. In 1998, the GT1s had a revised gearbox along with bodywork changes. The road going version weighed in at 2400lbs and 700hp. It does 0-60 in 3.3 seconds onto the top speed of 235mph. Those are the top 3 cars I probably like to sit/drive/spot etc... on the street. But I'm not only a fan of high horsepowered legendary classics. I love tamed street cars quick as the, Audi R8 5.2FSI V10, nothing too special about it. Just a favorite car of mine. Styling is there, a V10 from a LP560 and it's just stunning to look at. To something more pratical for daily use Audi S4 B5, before the engines were replaced with big heavy V8s, good for gas milage and it's decent for the track, it's not as nose heavy and won't understeer ! Plus, these things are fast once some power is put in them. Or even something down to this. Suzuki Cappuccino, just a freaking awsome RWD roadster. It has 3 cylinders, but who cares ! Shove a Hayabusa engine in there and call it a day. Even classy Japanese cars such as Nissan Skyline 2000GTR, just love these things. Nothing more. |

I loved that old gtr. Your right tho, I hate when people say track racing is for pussies. Both drag and track take a lot of skill. It ****es me off when people talk down on other peoples cars. Of coarse i dont have much ex. with people who drive euros the only ones ive met besides my mom are d-bags probly the same when it come to with you and muscle car guys. All and all i look at the cars

Those are just some of my favorites, I love the F40s, Koenigsegg CCXs, Pagani Zonda R, Carerra GTs, Murcielago LP670-4, McLaren MP4-12C, and many more. Just to list some of my more exotic cravings
Garder121, why not ? I'll take it easy on you ! I'll have to pass on that buy, regular F1s go for an easy 4 million plus. I would die of heart attack if I knew the price of the Gulf F1 Longtail, it is chassis #28 though. It was a spare car for the race, so this thing doesn't have any accidents or anything. Been to 6 races I believe. Heres chassis #28 racing around in the wet. Last edited by dontspamme; 01-03-2010 at 11:45 PM.. |
