Default Mitsubishi Starion 2000GSX-R: Street drifter

I got this kit about a year ago...had a really great paint scheme that didn't work out, so I put it in a box and never spoke of it again. I ran across the time capsule and decided to tone it down and make a "project car" drifter out of it. It had all the makings, Cheap-RWD-Turbo and import.

So, I made an external mount intercooler, put a small aluminum spoiler and matt black wheels. Gave it a nice carbon paint and a little killer whale club sticker, and even the "winking" headlight. Running on AWD with a PN racing stock FET motor, it's a zippy little bugger.

One of the things I did a little different on this was to run the light kit wires through the door panel so that the only wires you see are the motor ones...adds to the scale realism IMO.

I wanted this to be a quick 12hr job inbetween large scale ones...so it did the trick had it start to finish done in one night and am pretty happy with the way it came out.

Yeah, the wheel popped off running it...don't have any more aluminum lugs and don't know where my plastic ones are. The one thing that kills me about this one is I grabbed it with glue on my finger and left a mark on the driver's side door.

Yeah, it was an all nighter and the finger print was while putting in the interior trim and lights...so I wasn't going to pull it back apart to respray... oh well.

Nah, right now I like the clean look of it. I've got something else I am working on that is a bit wilder.

Looks good. I really like the color. It suits the lines of the car.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Thanks! I was going to go black but decided the dark carbon would cover up more imperfections...which it did as well as look super sweet.

It was spray can, I ended up hand painting all of the trim pieces.
