Default used gen 2 g35 problems

hello, i am new to xmods and live in canada.
i bought a used g35 from craigslist today.

Half the signals i send to the car seem not to be followed. by that i mean i have to press the gas trigegr more then once before the car moves or steering takes multiple attempts before a response on the car. i have switched crystals and have tried to use another remote.

there does not appear to be any upgrades to the car.

any suggestions?

Check your motor wires, they should be switched around causing you to have to hit the throttle twice. Or your going in reverse which is normal.

Your range could be shot, check for any brown solders on your board and take a clear picture if you can.

Welcome to the forum, read the rules and have fun !

so am i to understand that when going from reverse to forward it takes two pulls on the throttle?

my motor wires are set [red][black]=======(red)(black)
[car]===(motor)
is that correct?

also, i seem to have managed to do something to the steering "motor" it is in continuous motion. and does not stay in the forward position. this happened after i hit a wall.

also, i cant seem to find a detailed tutorial on how to reassemble a evo.

or a G1 for that matter.

thank you all btw.

***update***
i rebuilt the steering mechanism but now the steering is all twitchy if im not turning.
any ideas?
***** update 2*****

Flip your motor wires around. From what my memory tells me, they are backwards. And besides, red = postitive [+] and black = negative [-]

It should only take one pull from standstill or reverse to get to forward. Two pulls to go into reverse.

What do you mean by it does not stay in forward position ? Seems like you broke a tooth or something in there. Take a look inside and look for broken parts and clean it out as well.

thank you all for your help! it was much appreciated!!!
i think i have the problems fixed!

i am having an issue with fixing the steering trim now though.... the car seems to veer right regardless of what i do on the remotes trim adjustment. [if the car is veering right do i correct by pressing the (L) button or the (R) button assuming user is set to (L)]

How did you fix it? I broke out my old gen1 skyline and had the same problem.. turns out all i needed to do was pop in new batteries for the controller and car.

Also, yeah, I have the same question on steering trim...
