Default Project: "She Still Wants Revenge"

As mentioned in my Summer 09' Project List thread, I'm taking a shot at creating this Subaru which M0del, with help from SPR, made in her "She wants Revenge" thread. This project will hopefully not take me too long, but as you're going to see, is going to be no walk in the park.

First we have the target of this project, The 2004 Wide body STi which m0del essentially fell in love with.

Here we have the Subaru that's going to be my experimental gerbil, as you can see I've already disassembled and started sanding a bit. All the parts shown are stock and will be kept for this project.

Here are the pieces I'm putting aside that I won't need.

Also, thanks to a fresh NIB BK I got from a certain buddy of mine, here is the bumper and airdam from the BK i'm considering using.

So now we get to the fun part... The spare parts that will make this project what it is... So what exactly will it take besides putty, styrene, and some stock parts? Well we start with...
1 part 05' Mustang
2 parts Honda NSX
2 Parts 03' RSX
and, 2 parts Evo VIII
This results in a concoction fit only for Xmodding...

The NSX Mirrors came to me when i first researched the Super Street STi. The mirrors on that xmod were the closest thing to the real STi that I could think of. As so, when I got my hands on a pair, I decided to fit them (this is a test fit on another subbie shell). With very basic installing, they fit like a dream:

They're actually further out than they look, its just that the lighting and shadows made it hard for me to find a good angle.

This STi shell feels really weird, as though it came from an update or new Mold. There's all these little poles sticking out on the inside of the shell and they run from front to back.

The rear bumper has a werid look to it too, you know the thin plastic they have run across with the screw holes so you can mount it. well the mounting plate for the center hole looks like a trapezoid, its kinda weird, but its all 1 continous plate.

Oh well, it feels great, and I get the feeling its going to co-operate on this project s we'll see in the coming days.

yeah thats normal kaze, the shell is a UK one, thats how they are over here but im guessing because of the removable bumper parts it has a american fr bumper. the shell is made in the uk and its made out of a stronger plastic.

iv found because iv had american and uk suby shells that american one has a more flexible rear wing.

OK LONG AWAITED UPDATE!!!

First i realize that Target Car pics were never posted so here you are:

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Photos taken from Super Street website
-------------------------------------------------------------------

So basically in a one night sit in we now have a rear diffuser, custom aluminum tailpipe (with burnt tip and blue ring), custom wide body kit fenders (4 fenders, 2 front and 2 rear, rear +1.0mm wide, front + 0.5 both before putty), front air **** and rear bumpers being modeled at the moment, SIDE SKIRTS MISSING NOT DONT YET! but regardless enjoy...

------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------

Some Notes:

Exhausts - Real Aluminum pipes, burnt with lighter blue tip from sharpie
Rear Fenders - Wide Evo Skirts, Grinded/sanded all the way down to thin panel then glued on (gives +1mm widened rear)
Front Fenders - Xmod Packaging traced over actual fenders, bends made to connect fender to door panel, Front Vents were dremeled into stock fenders, plastic overlays creating vent. Sharpied black in the pics (I thought it'd make it more visible than clear)

Any Questions? Deadlines approaching fast for first 5 projects.

Well, the wheels m0del has already, if you look up at the Original Post its linked to her version. Basically I'm asking her to send her rims so i can finsh them up (so yes if she sends them), that way before this shell goes to her I can take some completed pics, if not then i guess she'll post up the completed pics.

This shell is going to her in exchange for her old one from the project linked. Further down the line i'm gonna see if its possible to find the actual set of wheels to finish it up but yea.
