It will have to be, she is so long...... You should keep cans of compressed air in the back of the shelf, I do to blow my shelf queens off from now and then.

you should get a custom shaft to the front for 6wd, any articulation or suspension or will it be a solid chassis?

Man, XXX you got me all anxious to see more of this build. The suspense is a killer. Especially knowing the build is pretty much done.. Looks awesome though.

It has full articulation like a stock X-truck, maybe a tad more. It has stock suspension in front and rear...also there is flex between both rear pods which gives it some articulation there as well. No plan at all for 6 wheel drive, it's just a little much... But with the lithium going in and the double steering in front, it is very controlable fast and fun. Here is the next photo update.

Ok, time to start ditching the Styrene mock-up parts and fabricate soem CF for the final build. Here is the front end.

And connected to the rear with stock Xtruck mount...so it has articulation.

awesome!! you are a master with CF! are the batts going under the chassis for a lower cg or over for better clearance and safety? Oh BTW your tires look pretty worn lol, especially the one in the first pic in the bottom right.

this THING is looking/coming together amazing...so super low gearing?...is that chassis going to be painted?...some sort of flat black - olive drab type of color?...i have seen some larger model disply cases - like for 2 cars - at walmart and hobby stores that would ba a great way to display this when its done...you could even do a scale forest/dessert scene - diorama within the case for realism...best of luck to you both with the rest of the creation

Thanks guys, Floyd.. I am not sure if im ready to dedicate time to painting the chassis parts, but I have thought about it. If would definatly top off an awsome build... As we get a little further down the line you'll see it is mostly grey and CF.

We have a body..it is a peterbilt 359 long nose. It will get chopped to be a flat nose and a lot of the chassis will be made from styrene. Unfortunatly this is the best option and it won't be a direct resemblance to the actual Tatra body.....but.. good luck finding a model body or toy of one..I have looked and looked. Even the flat nose truck models I found were like $45.00 so this is the best option. It will be olive green and will be a troop carrier. The back will even have real fabric cover. Should be pretty sick.

Pretty darn good, thanks for asking. As far as the build thread goes, it isn't finished yet (In reality it is) .... Here are a couple functions check videos. (keep in mind, im holding the camera and the remote.. so they aren't steady.

Truly amazing accomplishment! Definitely a first in the XMODS scene! Any idea on what tire/wheel combo the finished product will utilize? A unique project needs a special set of "shoes"!
