Skim4food - Thanks!

Texan - The suspension was just mocked up to get the spacing right. I'm going to add ball joints so the links are free to move and allow the rear half of the truck to articulate.

BulletsRain, FloydfanYodaman, and XModkidd - thanks guys!

Great scenery. Are you planning more for the chassis?

Thats interestly awesome. 4 link on an xmod..?

Using the regular AWD shaft or some sort of u-joint setup. Just 4 bars allowing the two chassis parts to twist would cause the wheel base to change as it articulated.

that looks awesome!! if you would paint the chassis to make match the body, it'd look better than that cruddy stock gray. but great job!

Final pictures of the body and rims:

Also...Sadly, I was not able to finish the chassis on time for the competition. Vacation forced my small time slot even smaller - I would have had to finished the whole thing in around 5 days. So, I threw the body on a servo'd Hummer chassis for the comp. I still plan to finish the chassis when I get back to Reno.

The truck looks brilliant. Where are you shooting these pictures?

Yeah yeah...I read it the first time Texan...

No, but that is a good idea. Maybe I'll go back to the solid axle idea....hmmm..thanks for the input.

I'm shooting at Joshua tree - vacation yields good photography.

You should! Only reason I mention it is if the wheel base changes as it twists, you'd eventually bind the drive shaft.

But, the idea I like. Have to try it soemtime.

I love this truck. mmmmmm. I want more chassis pix. It looks like there is no articulation.

I took that pic when I had templates to get the driveshaft length right, so you are right - there isn't any articulation in that picture. Ball joints now let the links move freely.

Thanks!
