The xmods can won't hold right in the case, just so you know. I just stuck a stage1 arm, mags, and brushs in Tamiya endball and can. Otherwise, the xmods can doesnt slip the area around the pinion into the hole on the gear box.
So, does it matter that right now the hex-shaft isn't centered?

I somehow got the S2 motor to fit... It works just fine, just need to resolder the wires on.

What do you mean by centered? If you mean meshing with the gears yes.

edit: i see. Yes it does matter that is one reason why you need to drill a hole and you can also bend the left d tab a certain way to get it closer to the main gear.

It may hold in there, but I'm more then willing to bet the pinion gear wont mesh off the motor. Been there, tried that. The raised area around the pinions on the xmods can and Tamiya can are different diameters.

Wont matter for now until you find a gear. You can grab a pic from my S10s thread, and then email tamiya and see about another gear. Or fit what ever you want on to it. I got decent speed out of mine, with the highest gear ratio configuration on the gear box, and with that small gear on the output shaft..

As of right now, I think I've got it meshed quite well. Just need to put it in a bit more.

Now, how do I cut the Hex-Shaft?

I used a hand saw and a dremmel. Is the shaft sticking out of the cradle? so you can have the shaft resting on the drill hole in the cover. You want to grease the gears every couple weeks or every other time you change the batteries. also greasing the hole in the gear cover helps to. get a video or something

I've drilled a hole in the gear cover. I'm in the process of perfecting it. I'll grease it once I'm done. I'll get a video then too.

Greasing the hole in the cover wont help but to attract dirt.

Just use a dremel cut-off wheel. Takes 10-20 seconds. Have glasses, sparks a plenty.

Mmm... Me no have dremel... I guess I'll leave it there for a bit. It doesn't block the wheels at all.

Hey Texan, I can't seen to get the High speed gearing to work. The 24T and 26T don't mesh (duh) so all it does is spin the 24T around and the 26T somewhat spins around. What am I doing wrong? I've got everything it says in the manual.

1st try putting in the right motor can.

Then see if where the gears aren't meshing.. I cant really help with out seeing what it's doing.

Here what ive done for you on paint:

Hope u get it.

By that way, it will only make the 26T spin not the 24T one is just there as a spacer.

Hey Chinese Kid, I have 3 sets of spare neo mags, and some carbon brushes.

Want a pair of neos and my brushes?
I might be coming to SR very soon, for a weekend, maybe I could give them to you then?

BTW, I'd use the 25t bevel gear...for more torque.

Not to be nosey, do know where that Rincon Vally Middle School is?

Me feel like I were stalkded... I know where that is... I went there last year. Now I'm at Maria Carrillo. The S2 is working just fine for me, so I don't really need the neos I guess.

Nice job on the mounting so far.

Gear meshing looks right on!

Groovay... Know anyone here I might know beside your mom?

I've got the gearbox in all the way! It runs now. I just need to figure out a way to grease it without using petroleum jelly. Or is pertoleum jelly just fine?

I'll get a video up soon.
