here is going to be my entry for the xms patriotic comp. as she sits, right outta the box, going to be mounted on the x.i. prototype extenda chassis. here's some pics.

as for the model, the hobby shop had them, check yours they just got them in within the last week or so. i think i got mine early last week. like 25 bucks. as for the chassis, i am unsure of yet. hopefully soon as they seem to be a really nice idea.

thanks man, your projects is nice as well, glad you posted it up.

here's an update, got the front / rear bumper glued on, the spoiler mounted, not exactly sure if i like the fitment of it yet or not. got the wheels mounted, might have to play with the offset a little bit, but will see when it comes to that. i think they look rather nice sitting under there.
and i am going to have to do a little sanding on the front of the hood to get it to sit down in the bumper correctly.

yep, got a paint scheme already thought of. it will have some red white and blue in it, but not as the whole car.

i need to throw a little stiffer spring in the rear, and some better springs in the front, gotta little lean going due to the suspension. i noticed this after one of the pics, picked the car up and one of the springs in the front is weak.


well i got the body mounted up and got rid of the change holding it up, she's looking good. now its time to get started on the paint and interior. i'll do some sanding and cleaning on it tomorrow night. then try to get started on laying the base coat.

I almost bought one of these today!

got the base coat laid, got a few spots to go back and fix, nothing major just a couple spots i saw. and you guys thought this was going to be red white and blue all over didnt you? lol

thanks man, i'm happy with it so far.
got a few little imperfections to fix that showed up when i painted it. so i'll get those fixed, spray those spots again, and then on to the small details of the paintjob

well the chassis showed back up today. and im happy, i'm going to pick up some polish and make it even shinier

got some mock up of the body on the chassis. i'll be doing osme more work on it tonight, i gotta sand a couple spots down, get them repainted, and move on to the fine details on it.

i'm also going to get the lithiums mounted and board mounted tonight so i can get the interior done.

maybe ill get this engine i've assembled painted as well, maybe.
